Island Retreat in Gulf Shores, Alabama has policies in place to ensure every camper has a wonderful experience! Located just 2 miles from the white sand beaches and clear, crystal blue waters. Full hook ups, open year round, family and pet friendly camping. Park Policies & Guidelines CHECK-IN: 2PM and CHECK-OUT: 12PM Early check-in/late check-out available for a fee. Contact office for availability. No refunds given 1 hour following check-in. No refunds given for early departure, unless required due to mandatory evacuation. Site numbers are not guaranteed. QUIET HOURS: 10PM-7AM Please respect neighbors by limiting noise during this time. POOL HOURS: 9AM - 9PM NO GLASS, NO SMOKING, and NO LIFEGUARD ON DUTY. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Swim diapers are required. FIRE PITS : Do not burn anything other than wood and DO NOT leave fire unattended. TRASH : Please dispose of all trash in the dumpsters provided. There will be a $25.00 fee for any trash left on site after departure. SPEED LIMIT : 7MPH and strictly enforced. Only 2 vehicles are per site. Additional vehicles must request a Parking Pass from the office and park in designated overflow areas. DO NOT park on the grass. GOLF CARTS : Golf Carts are NOT permitted for use on public streets and roads in the City of Gulf Shores. Golf Carts are allowed within the park. Must be at least 16 years or older and a licensed driver BOATS/WATERCRAFT : Are permitted. Must fit on gravel drive/concrete pad, not grass, or be placed in the short-term storage area during your stay for a fee. Please register in the office. CANOPIES: Are permitted. One per RV site, free-standing only. Please no floors to protect our grass. Must be under 13x13 in size and not interfere with your neighboring RV sites space. RV RESTRICTIONS : We do not accept tents, pop-up campers, truck campers, conversions, or horse trailers. We do not accept any recreational vehicles that are more than 15 years old. If you arrive with an RV outside of our guidelines, we reserve the right to cancel your reservation upon arrival. Some exceptions may be made to the 15 year restriction by emailing us current photos of your RV for management approval. NOT PERMITTED ON SITE : Tents, enclosed canopies with floors, clotheslines, portable hot tubs, refrigerators/ appliances outside of RV, excessive clutter, auto repairs, improper dumping of wastewater, fireworks, firearms. Do not place rugs on grassy areas. Smoking is not permitted in any common areas. Storage trailers & tow dollies must be placed in designated areas, not on site. NOTE : You are responsible for actions of your party, including visitors and children. Guests will be asked to leave for intoxication, rowdy behavior, or using profanity or drugs. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult after dark. Rates include up to 4 guests. Additional guests require a fee and must register in the office. CANCELLATION POLICIES: All cancellations require a $100 cancellation fee. If guest cancels 14 days or more before arrival, the remaining deposit amount is refunded. (30 days for monthly stays). If guest cancels less than 14 days before arrival, the remaining deposit amount is transferable once to a future stay within one year. No refunds for early departures, no-shows, same da y cancellations.
